Welcome to Pinxton Village Academies Early Language Programme

At Pinxton Village Academies, we are excited to introduce our Early Language Programme designed to nurture and develop speech and language skills of our young learners, which will further improve outcomes. Grounded in extensive research, in association with the English Hub and utilising the ‘Universally Speaking’ assessment tool, our programme offers a comprehensive approach to early language development.

Our Approach

We have created a graduated approach to developing language skills, tailored to the unique needs and abilities of our children.  Using assessment at the centre, our dedicated team will use evidence-based strategies to create an enriching approach to developing early language.  This will be achieved through enhancing the classroom provision with interactive activities, engaging storytelling, and creative speaking and listening opportunities.

Why Early Language Development Matters

Early language skills are the foundation for lifelong learning. Research shows that children who develop strong language abilities in their early years perform better academically and have enhanced social and emotional well-being.

We welcome you to take part in your child's language development journey. Regular updates and insights can be found on our social media channels and Tapestry. Each week, we will be posting a Makaton sign of the week and a weekly challenge and look forward to celebrating the progress that you all make as a family. 😊
