Thank you for visiting our website.

Pinxton Village Academies is the shared name for Longwood Infant Academy, John King Infant Academy and Kirkstead Junior Academy. We have a unique structure as we are led collectively by one Senior Leadership Team and have one Governing Board who support us in delivering a warm welcoming atmosphere where all are natured and cared for. In 2018, our schools formally joined the Flying High Trust and now work collaboratively with our Trust colleagues to achieve our shared aim of being the best schools in the universe! We feel very strongly that school is a partnership between children, parents, staff and governors and that by working together we can motivate children to succeed in all areas of their development. Therefore, our school motto captures this aspiration:

Stronger together

I am so proud to be the Acting Head Teacher of Pinxton Village Academies as all three schools are exciting places for children to learn and grow. Every day I am lucky enough to work with brilliant children, a fantastic team of staff and governors, and very supportive parents and carers. We put happiness at the heart of our schools as we know that children learn better when they are happy. Through our engaging curriculum and high expectations, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We work hard as a community to nurture and challenge our children so that they can develop their individual talents and achieve their full potential in an environment that promotes trust, respect, integrity and care.

Everything we do is based upon our Trust values of confidence, responsibility, perseverance, creativity, enjoyment, aspiration and pride. As a team of children, staff, governors and parents, we strive to be the best we can be. As Acting Head Teacher, I want our children’s primary school years to be some of the best of their lives, so that they can “look back with pride and forward with confidence.”

We always welcome visitors, so if you'd like to come and visit, we would love to show you around our schools.
