Prepare for the future; Value the now; Achieve everyday
Thank you for visiting our website.
Pinxton Village Academies is the shared name for Longwood Infant Academy, John King Infant Academy and Kirkstead Junior Academy. We have a unique structure as we are led collectively by one Senior Leadership Team and have one Governing Board who support us in delivering a warm welcoming atmosphere where all are nurtured and cared for. In 2018, our schools formally joined the Flying High Trust and now work collaboratively with our Trust colleagues to achieve our shared aim of being the best schools in the universe! We feel very strongly that school is a partnership between children, parents, staff and governors and that by working together we can motivate children to succeed in all areas of their development. Therefore, our school motto captures this aspiration:
Stronger Together
I am very proud to be Head Teacher of Pinxton Village Academies and to lead a team of talented children and staff. I am driven by a passion for educating young people. I love to be involved in teaching and learning and see pupils making excellent progress. It is so important to us all that Pinxton Village Academies are the best schools they can be.
Children should leave PVA equipped with a life long love of learning and a curiosity that will help them develop high aspirations and all the skills they need for successful futures.
Everything we do is based upon our Trust values of confidence, responsibility, perseverance, creativity, enjoyment, aspiration and pride. As a team of children, staff, governors and parents, we strive to be the best we can be. As Head Teacher, I want our children’s primary school years to be some of the best of their lives, so that they can “look back with pride and forward with confidence.”
We always welcome visitors, so if you'd like to come and visit, we would love to show you around our schools.
